A U-Haul caused colossal damage on the streets of Los Angeles, California, damaging dozens of cars as it drove through, dragging a tree branch. A video recorded by a victim was posted on Instagram, showing the U-Haul with a large tree branch stuck between the cab and the cargo area. The tree branch went over a black Toyota car parked on the side of the road, damaging the headlamps, bonnet, windscreen, and the top of the car, as shown in a video posted by the car owner on Instagram. The U-Haul went further down the street, with the branch denting a couple of more cars, before coming to a stop at the end of the street.
The victim walked towards the driver, who alighted, confronting them about the damage to the cars, and getting no response as they went right back into the vehicle. According to a post on X, a witness said about 15 to 20 cars were either totaled or damaged in the incident. The quick shift from a routine driver to absolute devastation left the internet in complete awe at how absurd the incident in California was.

Many netizens focused on the driver, who was somehow oblivious to the trail of damage she was leaving in her wake, questioning how she managed to drag a massive tree through the street. Referring to the way the leaves from the tree branches were sweeping the streets, a user joked, “LA County’s New Street Sweeper.” An observer pointed out that the level of damage the driver wreaked was comparable only to that of natural disasters, or some severe, named hurricane.
A frustrated user questioned the reaction of the person recording, saying that the recording made sense, but it was baffling that no one stepped in to prevent further loss.
