A video going viral on TikTok shows a man celebrating what appears to be a win on a bet during a New York Knicks game. He has cashed out $40K, which is almost the full salary an ordinary employee would earn working at Walmart.
Future plans like renting a house for a year, savings, buying a car, and a lot more come to mind when you think about what you can do with a sudden thousand dollars in your account without losing your job. However, this man has other things on his mind.
“Don’t you dare, don’t you dare!” are the only words we hear from the woman trying to stop the man from making a mess in the store. He runs around, shouting that he’s won and that he’s quitting his job for it.
A user says “acting like it’s $40M” in the comments section, and it best describes the situation, as that’d probably justify doing crazy celebrations since you and your grandsons will live on welfare with that. “Everyone saying $40k ain’t much. That’s his 1 yr pay,” remarks another.
That said, he might be sued for the fun he had in the place while also leaving a dent in his resume since he’s about to find a new job next year, if not in months. “All they need is a mop and a lawsuit,” says one of the commenters under the video, which is a far-fetched idea, but if they really want to go after it, the milk celebration might just bite the poor man in the near future.
