A rather shocking video was posted to TikTok that shows several children in the Baltimore, Maryland, area running around and acting disrespectfully towards staff and customers at a Target. The children can be heard yelling expletives at passing customers and throwing things.

Commenters were quick to fill the replies below the video with their opinions on the situation, with many wondering where the parents were throughout. Others blamed the fact that school is currently out for summer, while others argue that teachers don’t want to face that sort of behavior either.

The video is taken from the point of view of a customer who happened to be walking around the Maryland Target when the situation occurred. You can see two of the minors come into frame, one holding what appears to be a soda of some kind, poised to be thrown at someone.

According to the text written on the video, “She’s about to throw that soda at the lady in the black 🤦‍♀️.” After a few more seconds of the minors running past the customer, the original poster warned viewers that it would only get worse. She then shows another clip of the children being escorted toward the front of the store by police.

An adult male can be seen walking towards the children towards the end of the video, though it is unclear if he was related to that group. By this point, other customers had begun crowding around, with the woman who had the soda thrown at her recording the incident on her phone.

Comments and Reactions Towards Maryland Children Disturbing the Peace in Target

Comments ranged from those who overwhelmingly criticized the children’s behavior to those who blamed poor parenting. The top comment on this topic reads, “Someone in the comments said school needs to be all year. No. PARENTING needs to be all year, 24/7.“

This particular comment sparked a different conversation in the video’s replies about educators who claim they regularly encounter this type of conduct. Another commenter wrote, “as an educator, we are tired. parents gotta do better fr.”

Similarly, another person wrote, “As a teacher…y’all just imagine what we deal with in our classrooms.” However, another commenter wrote their opinion and broke down why this is likely the case when it comes to this behavior, writing, “Their parents aren’t mad. Their parents are seeing this and saying my baby went viral, my baby is a star.”

As the clip continues to go viral on TikTok, it sparks a broader online conversation about parenting, accountability, and the challenges educators and retail workers say they face when dealing with disruptive behavior from young people.
