The midterms are approaching, as you know, and there has been a lot of speculation about what will happen if certain parties win. And while many have said things to further their campaigns or get more followers, the one who recently made it into the spotlight was Senator Jon Ossoff from Georgia, who said during an interview that Trump is deeply afraid of losing, as there will be accountability for all that the President has allegedly done.

Ossoff: "The abuses of federal power, the misconduct is unprecedented. That's why Donald Trump so deeply fears his impending losses in these midterms, because he recognizes that when there's a change in the balance of power, there will be real accountability imposed"

In an interview with Ms-Now, the interviewer asked Senator Jon Ossoff about the current Georgia election case, where Trump has been mentioned. Senator Ossoff replied, “The abuses of federal power. The misconduct is unprecedented. That is why Donald Trump so deeply fears his impending losses in these midterm elections. He recognizes that when there’s a change in the balance of power in Washington, there will be real transparency and accountability imposed, and he and those who have enabled him will have to answer for their misconduct.”

These strong words by Senator Ossoff resonated with many people, as some have noted that Trump has been abusing his power in ways that have affected the majority of Americans. On top of that, many believe that Trump has to go during the midterms, as people have been against some of his recent decisions, such as the war that has increased gas prices and the cuts across several government departments that used to help people.

Trump criticism aside, some Redditors started praising Senator Ossoff, believing he would be an excellent future presidential candidate, especially since he has been pushing for accountability, a term many believe doesn’t apply to the current presidential administration.

Among the many things people said against Trump, some focused on the strong messages Ossoff has conveyed lately, which have gained the attention of many, especially those who want change in the current government.

“That’s how you become President—accountability for this criminal regime.“

“Run for President, you will win.“

Others even compared Ossoff’s current stance to that of some other political figures, which some people in Georgia seem to miss.

“This is the most fight and resolve against this administration I’ve seen out of a Democrat since the end of Biden’s term. Refreshing!“

While many would love to see Ossoff run for President, a few say they would be sad to see the Senator go. In any case, there’s still a long road before that happens, and people are setting their sights on the midterms.
