A budding DJ from New Jersey has called out Hollywood movie star and former action hero Sylvester Stallone for supposedly racist behavior. The eagle-eyed DJ apparently noticed that Stallone was following Instagram pages that many have deemed racist, leading to the accusation. The allegation has since fueled discussions about Stallone’s political ties and statements in the past, particularly his being a MAGA and Trump supporter.
Instagram user and musician DJ SoulChild AC of New Jersey was among the first to point out this rather concerning discovery about Sylvester Stallone. In the video, Stallone’s official Instagram account, officialslystallone can be seen subscribed to or following blackfatigue_2.0, a page dedicated to anti-Black posts and memes online. So far, other social media users have confirmed that Stallone still follows the page at the time of writing.
Due to this discovery, the DJ has since claimed that “Sylvester Stallone is racist!” According to SoulChild, the blackfatigue_2.0 page is also run by a man named Ty Fairbanks, allegedly a white supremacist with KKK tattoos on his body. “This page literally calls for hanging of Black people, literally advocating Hispanic people to be [harmed] on the street by ICE,” explains the DJ. “This is who Sylvester Stallone supports and follows,” he added.
Stallone’s upcoming Rocky movie was also brought into the discussion, where people are now calling for a boycott. In the past, Stallone has used this Instagram account and was supposedly active with social media activity, though this time, it’s not clear whether it’s being run by a PR team or Stallone himself.
People online are calling out Stallone’s MAGA and Trump ties
At the time of publication, Stallone had not publicly addressed the criticism surrounding his Instagram activity. Stallone has been one of Trump’s most visible Hollywood supporters in recent years. In November 2024, he introduced Trump at the America First Policy Institute Gala at Mar-a-Lago, delivering remarks that compared the president to both his fictional boxing character Rocky Balboa and America’s first president, George Washington.
Due to his ties, Stallone’s Instagram activity invited even more unsurprised backlash. “It’s always the ones you most suspect,” says one Reddit commenter, while another seemed callous, “He’s been hard core MAGA from the jump so why is this a shock?” Others expected such behavior from Stallone from the start, writing, “Of course @officialslystallone is a rcst. You don’t have to tell us what is already obvious. He is maga too.”
Ironically enough, Stallone has starred alongside many Black actors and celebrities in the past, including Carl Weathers, who plays one of his closest friends in the Rocky films, as well as a tutor and father figure for Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Johnson character in the Creed films. This recent backlash could affect Stallone’s latest foray into his beloved Rocky franchise.
