California Reality Star Kendra Wilkinson, 41, Sobs After Real Estate Client Fires Her and Reveals Brutal Career Toll: ‘I’m a Good Person’

Career Collapse

The California realtor opened her Instagram Stories on Sunday with the kind of confession most celebrities would rather hide: a client had fired her after she poured herself into the work, and the rejection cracked open everything else she had been carrying.

“When a client fires you … after all the work you put in,” Kendra Wilkinson wrote over a photo of herself crying. “Ya, I’m struggling today guys.”

The 41-year-old former Girls Next Door star then appeared on camera in tears, trying to explain why one lost client had hit so hard. The firing was not the only problem. Wilkinson said she had also been “fighting people that work with me” while dealing with people who were “rude and mean.”

“We’re living in a world of struggle right now, I know that,” she said. “But it’s just … it’s so hard.”

Wilkinson insisted she had been doing everything she could to build a better life, especially for her two children, Hank IV, 16, and Alijah, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Hank Baskett.

“I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life,” she said. “I’m raising my kids and putting them first. I’m doing everything good — I’m a good person. It’s just such a struggle right now.”

The breakdown landed only months after Wilkinson celebrated a major California real estate comeback. After earning her license in 2020, she pushed into Malibu’s luxury market and recently spoke proudly about securing a portfolio of multimillion-dollar listings. That made Sunday’s rejection feel less like one bad deal and more like a brutal reminder of how quickly momentum can turn.

X Users Turn Kendra Wilkinson’s Tears Into a Brutal Debate

The breakdown quickly spilled onto X, where some users sympathized with Wilkinson while others questioned why she shared such a private moment publicly.

“Kendra is the best, she is very hard working, this sux for her,” one supporter wrote.

Another person defended the difficulty of her profession: “Real estate right now is an absolute meat grinder. High interest rates and low inventory are breaking agents left and right.”

Others were far less gentle.

“She’s so devastated that she’s posting it on social media,” one critic sarcastically remarked. Another questioned why anyone would share their “most intimate emotions with the world” rather than turn to family, friends, or a therapist.

“Grow up. This is reality! Get over it,” a third person declared.

Wilkinson later returned to Instagram looking calmer and thanked followers for their prayers and positive messages. She said she had put in eye drops, gotten herself ready, and decided to face another day.

“Got to get back up, right?” she said. “It’s time to fight a new one, and live and enjoy, and be grateful for the things I do have.”

The client may have walked away, but Wilkinson refused to let one brutal California setback close the door on her second act.
