A video filmed in Rochester, New York, shows U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers surrounding a white work van before later taking the driver into custody. According to the eyewitness who recorded and shared the footage on TikTok, the incident took place this week near Dewey Avenue and Emerson Street.
The witness claimed the officers pulled the man over during a traffic stop and asked him to show his immigration documents. The witness also said they scanned the man’s face using facial recognition technology to verify his identity.
While it is not clear from the video what officers found, the witness claimed the man’s paperwork “wasn’t right.”
The footage then shows officers escorting the man toward an ICE vehicle. He appeared to resist being placed inside, leading to a brief struggle before the officers eventually forced him into the SUV.

In the comments under the post shared by TikTok user @abdulbounds827, many people supported the officers’ actions. “Good job officers keep up the great work,” one person wrote. “Thank you so much police officers for keeping us safe,” another commented.

Others, however, were disturbed by the arrest and questioned ICE’s enforcement tactics. “This is so sad. People are just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families,” one commenter wrote. Someone else claimed, “They are going after color and race and thats facts!!!”
