A disturbing scene unfolded on the streets of Glendale, California, after a teenager was forcefully detained and placed into an unmarked vehicle in a video shared on Instagram. In the clip, the teen could be seen struggling with two masked men, allegedly identified in the post as federal agents, as they attempted to handcuff him on the ground. Despite his resistance, the men maintained their grip before escorting him toward a dark-colored vehicle with tinted windows.

"Please help me!" he cries in Spanish.
"I am begging you! Is anyone there!"

"Help me! Mom please help!"
"Mom I really need you right now!"

Throughout the encounter, the teenager repeatedly spoke in Spanish, appearing to plead for help as he was restrained. Meanwhile, the men instructed bystanders recording the incident to keep their distance as they continued leading him to the vehicle. An X post later translated the teen’s Spanish statements into English, claiming that he was crying out for help, calling for his mother, and repeatedly asking where he was being taken. It also alleged that this was the second similar incident involving a teenager to surface in recent weeks.

Social Media Users Reacted With Anger And Concern

The video quickly sparked outrage online, with many users questioning the appearance and conduct of the masked men.

“I’m sorry, but those are not federal agents. They look like bounty hunters. If I was there, I definitely would’ve helped that young man,” one commenter wrote. Others argued that the use of unmarked vehicles and masked officers made the incident appear more like a kidnapping than a lawful arrest. Some questioned whether the men had identified themselves or presented any legal documentation during the encounter.

“People don’t even know if they’re ICE or imposters anymore? This is happening way too often now, but I suspect that DJT doesn’t care if people of color go missing,” one user commented, expressing frustration over the situation as they suspected the influence of President Trump in the issue.

Many commenters also emphasized the importance of law enforcement officers wearing identifiable uniforms and body cameras during enforcement operations, arguing that doing so helps build public trust and accountability. Several users criticized ICE more broadly, expressing concern for the teenager’s well-being and wondering whether his family would learn about his whereabouts before it was too late. “I can’t wait for immigrants to ‘stand their ground’!” one commenter wrote, urging people to speak out against what they viewed as unjust treatment.
