According to the Georgia woman, all three of her Ed Hardy suitcases came out of the airport badly damaged. She said the luggage looked as though it had been heavily thrown around, with one handle ripped off and another suitcase appearing to have been kicked.
The damage was not limited to the suitcases. She said some of the belongings inside were also broken, while another suitcase containing important items was lost entirely. Among the missing belongings, she listed college books she needed for upcoming classes, a laptop, a hair straightener, her birth certificate, and her Social Security card.
Savannah said she initially tried to remain calm, but became increasingly frustrated after seeing the condition of all three suitcases and realizing how many important belongings were missing. She was especially upset by the compensation offered by the airport, which she said amounted to only $200 despite the extent of the damage and losses.
