The incident was shared on TikTok by user @barbiely_official, who identified the business as Infinity Nail Bar in Washington and the nail tech as Natalie. Her videos attracted thousands of views and comments, with many viewers taking the customer’s side. The creator also said that several followers contacted her after seeing the videos to share their own negative experiences with the salon.
According to the TikToker, the incident started when she asked to see a color palette because she did not have cell service inside the salon. She said she had already asked someone at the front desk for the Wi-Fi so she could load a reference photo from Google.
The customer claimed the nail tech then commented about her not knowing her own color choice. She said the comment was made in Vietnamese and argued that translating it into English made it sound less insulting than it did in the original language. She said she tried to explain why she needed the color palette, but the technician allegedly cut her off and told her, “I don’t want to talk to you.” The customer then asked to speak with a manager.
The TikToker also clarified that the technician she was confronting was not actually doing her nails. She said the woman was sitting next to her nail tech when the alleged comments were made. In a second video, she argued that she should not have to pay the full price because the interaction had ruined her experience, comparing it to asking for a discount at a restaurant after poor service.
