Some people put in their two weeks, while others go out with some pizazz. A Colorado nurse is seeing a lot of support online after she quit her job, but she didn’t do so quietly. Instead, she called her boss out, aired her dirty laundry, and did so proudly.
The nurse in question, Kallie, posted the explosive interaction with her now ex-supervisor on her personal TikTok account (777.kallie). Kallie’s supervisor, Trudy, noticed Kallie was feeling a little aggravated and told her to “take a breath” during their conversation. Things started to get more and more heated between them when Kallie suddenly asks, “Really? You think I need this job, Trudy? You need it. You think I [expletive] need this job?”
She approaches Trudy’s desk recording the shocked look on her supervisor’s face as she tells Kallie she’s sending her home. Kallie’s reply? “Guess what? I’m [expletive] going home!” Trudy waves Kallie off, saying, “Bye.” But Kallie isn’t about to stop there.
Kallie starts by admitting to Trudy that after she denied vacation in June, she called out for two days and took the trip anyway. She also accuses Trudy of taking the elderly off their medicine to hurt them. The accusations keep flowing, with Kallie listing tons of things that make her unhappy about the job, including accusing Trudy of not doing her job and calling her sons “losers.”
At this point, Kallie is full-on crashing out on her supervisor, who sits there silently and takes it, trying not to look at her. Kallie breaks out the insults and tells her she’s “ugly” and “you have grandma gray hair.” Then, she tells Trudy “I make what you [expletive] make in a month and a week!”
Kallie’s viewers rally behind her decision
Despite Kallie losing her cool, most of her viewers agreed she made the right move. From the way it sounds, it was a long time coming. As one commenter put it, “Ouu girl you had some pressure built up fr.”
Seeing the video, one commenter was unsure of her decision to pursue nursing. “The way healthcare is ran is truly heartbreaking… can’t wait to finish nursing school😀.” Kallie commented back, saying “There’s good out there!! we are who make it good don’t give up.”
Kallie engaged with viewers in comments as well. She shares an addendum, claiming she’d be sexual harassed “for weeks.” When she brought it forward to the higher ups, she was told she “egged it on.”
As if that wasn’t enough, viewers were concerned by what Kallie accused her supervisor of. “I think everyone is skipping over the part where she said that lady is killing people to flip rooms. That needs to be reported ASAP.”
Since the release of her TikTok video, Kallie has posted follow-up videos, adding further context and answering lingering questions.
