Due to certain story reasons, you’ll end up Shell-less for a time, leaving you as the weak Harbinger. However, that will soon change as you start collecting new Shells. As you know, the game will mark two on the map, with Tiel, the thief-like character, being the easiest one to unlock. Proxima Shell Location in Mortal Shell 2
After arriving at Marrow Keep, you’ll get clues regarding Tiel and Proxima’s whereabouts. For the latter, it is in the northern part of Mushroom Village, more specifically inside the Shattered Beacon.
The easiest way to get to this location is by completing the Mushroom Village area, heading Northwest, and finding the Blackridge Pass beacon, which you can see marked on the above image.
From there, all you need to do is keep walking North until you encounter a spider-like enemy guarding a strange beacon. Defeat it, and you’ll be able to enter this structure.
Once inside, all you need to do is interact with the Shell, and you’ll be able to inhabit Proxima, which, in our opinion, is one of the strongest Shells in Mortal Shell 2.
At first, her skills might not seem like the best, but her Biosampler is an excellent DPS ability, which can be upgraded for added effects. For instance, you can make the Lightning damage more powerful and even add some Stasis to each Biosampler use. This means you can damage enemies while also freezing them, which is extremely useful against some of the nimbler foes in the game.
If you want a more defensive-like approach, you can take a few ranks in her passive skill tree, which makes her Grafted Armor more powerful. She’ll be able to mitigate more damage in a more reliable way, and even deflect some projectiles back to enemies. This last option is extremely useful in Night Mode, but we found that a DPS-focused Proxima is ideal for the standard difficulty in Mortal Shell 2.
