A Virginia woman who says she is a big Panda Express fan found herself in an unexpected confrontation after another customer allegedly challenged her for being first in line at a newly opened location. Jenni said the woman accused her of lying about arriving first and claimed that she and her children should have the spot instead. The disagreement eventually ended with staff confirming Jenni’s place in line.

The story was shared on TikTok by Jenni, who uses the username Jennikookieee. She covered the encounter in two videos that received more than one million views combined, with viewers weighing in on the confrontation and the perks Jenni received for being first.

Jenni said she was the first person to arrive at the new Panda Express. A staff member greeted her and wrote down her name before the restaurant opened. She said things became uncomfortable after another woman arrived and asked whether she worked there.

According to the Virginia woman, she tried to ignore the woman’s passive-aggressive behavior and remained in her spot. The two eventually spoke, and the woman asked Jenni where she was from. Jenni jokingly said Michigan, explaining that she had recently moved to Virginia from the state.

Jenni said the woman then accused her of taking from the local community instead of going to a Panda Express in Michigan. The situation became more confusing when another woman arrived who appeared to know her. Jenni said the woman made a phone call before speaking with the Karen, and the two allegedly claimed that Jenni was lying and that the woman and her children were supposed to be first.

That claim did not hold up once the restaurant staff came outside as the opening time approached. According to Jenni, an employee confirmed that she had been the first person in line. Being first also came with some unexpected perks. Jenni said she received free food, plushies, shirts and a reserved table as part of the opening-day experience.

Virginia Woman Gets Support From Viewers

Many viewers criticized the woman who allegedly challenged Jenni’s place in line. Several found the situation especially unnecessary because employees had reportedly seen Jenni arrive first.

Viewers also sympathized with the Virginia woman and said she did not need to explain herself to the stranger. Some believed the woman was trying to provoke her and said responding more aggressively could have made the situation worse.

The Michigan exchange also caught attention. Some viewers found the accusation that Jenni was “robbing the community” bizarre, while others who had moved from Michigan said they understood her experience of being treated differently after relocating.

Several commenters believed the encounter involved racism or microaggressions, while others simply described the woman’s behavior as bullying. “She was probably racist,” one user wrote.

Some viewers advised Jenni not to share personal information with strangers, while others were more interested in what she received for being first.

Once viewers learned the Virginia woman walked away with free food, merchandise and plushies, being first in line suddenly looked like the best decision of the day.
