Republican Colorado gubernatorial candidate Victor Marx has appeared in the spotlight, but in a negative way, as a recent investigation linked him to a company that is selling access to him and merchandise while reportedly hiding this connection. This irritated Colorado voters, who accused Marx of being a grifter on social media and questioned where the money was going.

[KyleClark] Victor Marx’s campaign won’t say where supporters’ money goes when they buy campaign merch or $1300 meetings with Marx himself. Our investigation linked the online shop to an out-of-state company with hidden owners. Then we found a document revealing the owner: Victor Marx.

As uncovered by Next with Kyle Clark, a company based outside Colorado called Not Shook LLC is selling access to Victor Marx for $1,300, as well as merchandise related to his campaign. However, this Wyoming-based company reportedly hides the identity of its owner, who appears to be none other than Victor Marx himself.

Marx’s official campaign claimed that these purchases “support the campaign’s efforts,” but refused to answer questions regarding whether Victor Marx is “pocketing his supporter’s money.”

Colorado Reacts to Victor Marx’s Latest Controversy

The reports have enraged voters on Reddit’s r/Colorado, who had harsh words for Marx. One of them wrote: “A republican? Grifting? I, for one, am shocked.” Someone else answered: “The G in ‘GOP’ is now for Grifters.”

Others blamed the national Republican Party and President Donald Trump for the overall direction the party is taking in Colorado: “When the standard-bearer of the republican party is actively grifting while holding the highest office in the land, it stands to reason his acolytes would try the same [expletive]. If this guy wins this upcoming election, it will be proof positive that our election integrity has been entirely compromised.”

Someone made fun of the situation, however, mocking people who gave Marx money: “Can you imagine anyone being emotionally bankrupt enough to pay $1300 to meet this grifter?”

Some locals urged Marx to disclose the information: “He should disclose everything related to money and foreign ties.” However, others were not so hopeful: “He won’t. These grifters take their cue from the president who admits nothing, denies everything, lies, and does it all without explanation.”

It remains to be seen how Victor Marx will react to the backlash caused by these reports and whether he will be able to defeat Democratic nominee Phil Weiser and become the next governor of Colorado.
