A Las Vegas, Nevada man resorted to threats of calling ICE on a Hispanic woman and her friends when she refused to buy his car on Marketplace. A video posted on Instagram showed the man, wearing a necklace with a visible cross pendant, peering into the Hispanic woman’s car with his phone drawn out, recording. Taunting them for speaking Spanish, he asked them if they could speak English. When he realized that someone else was in the back, he turned to his friend, saying it was a $ 500-per-head bounty, as though calculating how much he would make for reporting them. “Speak English in America. The official language is English,” he said when the woman kept speaking to him in Spanish.
The woman then switched to English, saying she was an influencer there in Las Vegas. The seller mocked her, saying she had only a handful of followers, and that did not make her an influencer. The woman in the caption across her screen warned, “Be very careful with these people. They are selling cars on Marketplace in Las Vegas, and they are racist.” While she made the video, the man came behind her, making disgusting sexual gestures.
Not backing down, the woman went around the vehicle that was up for sale. However, the man stood in front of her, threatening to hit her phone if she approached it.

Many netizens highlighted the irony of the man’s behavior while wearing a Christian symbol. A user called the man out directly, saying that wearing the cross did not mean Jesus supports his behavior. Another wrote, “And doing that shit while wearing a cross. Another example of a ‘good Christian’ MAGAt.” Sharing the sentiment about the cross across the seller’s neck, a commenter argued that people who liked to make a flamboyant display of their faith were often hypocrites.

Correcting the common misconception, a commenter reminded viewers that the US has no official language. Challenging the man’s demands for only English, a viewer dared him to translate Las Vegas, the very state they were in, into English since he claimed it was mandatory.
