A Texas woman says a college roommate dispute spiraled far beyond a typical dorm disagreement, leaving her temporarily moved out of her room and dealing with police involvement after her roommate allegedly accused her of throwing a punch. The woman, who shared her side of the story on TikTok, strongly denied the accusation and said she had been documenting the situation because she wanted proof of what was happening.
The story was shared by a TikToker who goes by diaryof_tink and quickly pulled in several hundred thousand views, with many viewers siding with her. In the video, Diary said she is now staying at Moody Towers after the situation became “out of hand” and thanked the people who helped her move on short notice.
According to the woman, she had been away for the weekend at PV with her cousins before returning to campus. When she got back to her dorm, she said the room was messy and that she started recording as she walked in to document its condition.
Later, her roommate reportedly came in while speaking with her mother. The woman said she overheard her roommate saying she did not want to be in the room because she was there.
Things took another turn when the roommate reportedly went to the resident assistant. According to Diary, she was told her roommate accused her of throwing a punch while yelling at her.
Things escalated, eventually bringing police into the situation. The woman said officers told her they would check her movements, including when she entered the building and what happened afterward. She also said she was interviewed about the earlier incidents.
For now, she is staying in a temporary room at Moody Towers. She expects to find out whether she can permanently switch rooms and said she does not plan to return to the original one.
