Windows Central is reporting that Microsoft plans to unveil a new subscription service called Xbox All Access soon.

Codenamed Project Largo, this contract-based monthly service will be announced later this month. With Xbox All Access, you can get an Xbox One (S or X), Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Live for a monthly fee as well as a two-year commitment to the subscription. The Xbox One X bundle will cost $35 per month and you can subscribe to the Xbox One S package for about $22 a month.

Again, it is important to note that both bundles would require a two-year commitment to the Microsoft service. Tom Warren of The Verge first reported on this story a few weeks ago and has also confirmed this report.

Imagine if Microsoft offered the Xbox One X + Xbox Live Gold + Xbox Game Pass for a monthly subscription over 24 months… :)

The reasoning behind Microsoft not revealing this deal at Gamescom 2018 is reportedly due to this service being exclusive to the United States. For those of you who are unaware, Gamescom is held in Germany.

Microsoft also planned to announce a new Xbox accessory at Gamescom 2018 but ultimately decided against it. Not much is known about this new device, codenamed Washburn, other than it isn’t a new Xbox Elite controller.

All of these rumors are still just that until we hear more from anyone from Microsoft. If true, I gotta admit that Xbox All Access sounds like a great idea on paper. It is cheaper to go with this route (if only by a few bucks) than just straight-out purchasing a console with Game Pass and Xbox Live.

What are your thoughts on the rumored Xbox All Access? If you aren’t an Xbox One owner, would a service like this entice you into purchasing one? What do you think is this mystery Microsoft accessory that skipped out on Gamescom 2018?  Let us know in the comments and be sure to follow us here at The Nerd Stash for all of your nerdy news and needs!
