Narin, the latest ice-based Warframe, is finally out in the cold, and while that might not bother her, it’s definitely going to bother her enemies. To do that, you will need to play to Narin’s strengths. She’s a nuker build and thrives on unleashing a winter apocalypse in her immediate vicinity. Make sure to follow our never-ending winter build for Narin; it’s Steel Path ready and scales well into the endgame.
Narin Build Explanation

Despite being a nuker Warframe, Narin comes with the full package where she can also tank enemies with copious amounts of Overguard, so we can scratch tanky mods out of the equation. Instead, the build will focus on enhancing her 4th Ability. It won’t be available until you fill up Narin’s Snow Globe passive mechanic, so naturally, we’re going to need lots of Energy to spam the other abilities.
With that in mind, here’s what the mod list will look like for our Warframe Narin build; you will need to spend around five Forma to ensure full effectiveness. However, you can get away with three or fewer Forma if you don’t max out some mods or opt for the alternatives.
Mod List
The key ability stat here, as you might have noticed, is Strength, and you’re going to need lots of it to ensure that Narin’s 4th Ability scales well up to Steel Path or some of the hardest content in the game. Narin thankfully comes with her own Overguard generation, which comes with knockdown immunity, so there’s no need to spend too much mod capacity on Primed Sure Footed.
On a side note, if you use Archon Stretch, make sure you’re using the Diriga companion or at least a weapon modded with an Electricity damage type (the companion is the better option, of course). This way, you can easily maintain your Energy without relying on expensive crutches such as Arcane Energize.
Arcanes for the Narin Build
Speaking of which, you can still opt to use the aforementioned Arcane if you have it; here’s what we recommend for Narin:
- Arcane Energize (Optional) – On Energy Pickup: 60% chance to replenish 150 Energy to self and allies within 15m
- Arcane Ice Storm – On Enemy Frozen: Gain +2% Ability Strength and +2% Ability Duration for 15s. Stacks up to 20x.
- Molt Augmented – On Kill: +0.24% Ability Strength. Stacks up to 250x.
Archon Shards for the Narin Build
We recommend going with this combo; Tauforged variants are preferable:
- 2x Amber Archon Shard (Casting Speed) or 1x Amber with Maximum Energy on Spawn
- 2x or 3x Crimson Archon Shard (Ability Strength)
- 1x Violet Archon Shard (Health and Energy pickups, optional)
Since you’re going to be spamming your abilities a lot, having high casting speed is almost mandatory so enemies get fewer windows to attack.
Playstyle for the Narin Build

Narin is thankfully one of the easier nuker Warframes to pilot; there’s not really a strict or stressful rotation involved, though you will need to be quick at the start, especially in Steel Path, so you can freeze or crowd-control enemies before they can attack you without an Overguard.
So try to keep this sequence in mind for our Warframe Narin build whenever you’re dealing with enemies. Consider this as Follie’s gameplay or combo loop.
- At the start, if you don’t have Energy, use a Squad Energy Restore if you don’t have an Amber Shard with Maximum Energy on Spawn or the Preparation mod
- Once you see enemies, use the 3rd Ability
- Once all enemies are frozen, use the 2nd Ability
- If the snow globe or Ice meter isn’t full, spam the 1st Ability
- Cast the 4th Ability once the snow globe is full
- Repeat steps 2, 4, and 5
- Keep the 3rd Ability in mind as a panic button to freeze enemies, and the 2nd Ability as upkeep for your Overguard
Overall, it’s chill gameplay, and you only need to worry about boss fights or nullifiers. Narin is more mobile than Frost and has more cold-based synergies, so she might be better for fast-paced mission types.
