A pregnant Florida mother says ICE agents arrested her partner and two other family members after arriving at her home while she was inside with her young children. She also says the agents cut off the home’s electricity and broke a window during the encounter, leaving her worried about how she would secure the house after they left.
The video begins inside the home, where a woman can be heard sobbing as she records the encounter from near the front door. Two boys who appear to be teenagers stand outside with their father, who is in handcuffs, while several ICE agents can be seen nearby. The father tells the agents, “he is coming with me,” apparently referring to one of the boys who remains outside while the other goes back inside and closes the door.
The footage then cuts to an ICE vehicle, where an agent can be heard asking, “Nobody back there?” The woman continues recording and pans the camera toward several broken windows. The video later shows ICE vehicles leaving the area with the handcuffed father and the teenage boy.
The footage was originally shared on Instagram by @stopicenet. According to the account’s caption, the agents came to the home without a warrant, cut off the electricity, and broke a front window before taking three people. The woman who recorded the footage said she was home with her 1-year-old and 5-month-old baby boy and was six months pregnant at the time.
She also said the electricity came back on after her partner and the other two people surrendered. As per the Instagram account, the woman said, “I want to share my experience so that anyone who has to go through with ICE, please start to record everything because you never know what can happen during the situation with ICE.”
