A man from Los Angeles, California, Broc Hidalgo, posted a security-camera video of his pet duckling, Mr. Quacks, chasing an Amazon driver. The driver has since gone viral, with the video receiving over 561,000 views and over 80,000 likes from people who can’t get enough.
Hidalgo captioned the TikTok, “If anyone knows my Amazon driver, tell him I apologize!” In the video, you can see the unassuming California driver leaving a package on the carport. However, things quickly change after Mr. Quacks appears. This is when the “saxophones were screaming.” At first, the driver seems to be unaware of the duckling.
That is, until Mr. Quacks decides to make himself known and help the driver back to his van. You can see in the video the duckling chasing the California driver until he’s safely back in the van. It’s assumed that afterward it retreated to the carport. Though the humorous incident was quick, it has everyone obsessed in the comments. One viewer even admits to watching the viral moment over and over. The duckling is actually new to the Hidalgo household, as the young Squealer showed up earlier in the month at the house.
People Can’t Get Enough Of The California Driver
Many in the comments understand what Hidalgo is experiencing with his new pet. They even share their own bird-delivery person situations for comparison. One person sympathizes, “I have this problem too with my little rooster named Small Fry ðŸ˜. My delivery directions now say ‘fight back’ ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£.” One person shares a photo of a large turkey and says, “My mom’s mail carrier refuses to leave their truck because of Sir Frances.”
Meanwhile, others can’t get enough of the video. One person admits, “I have watched this an unhealthy amount of times 🤣🤣.” Another says, “When he tells the story, it’s an ostrich that chases him.” One commenter jokes, “Mr. Quacks on patrol😆 he said not on my watch…..” However, one person is inspired by the patrol duck and has a request: “Can I borrow the duck to show my dogs what they are supposed to do?”
It’s understandable why the lovable duckling has everyone laughing. He has yet to reach out or comment on the video.
