A Georgia Spark driver says a homeowner blocked her in with his own work vehicle. This happened after she dropped off a package at his property, and he got out and confronted her. He kept one hand behind his back the entire time. This left commenters questioning what he might have been holding, and opened up a bigger conversation about what Black workers face while just doing their jobs.
Uploaded to TikTok by @bri.shayeee, the video shows the driver recognizing what’s happening as a man pulls his vehicle sideways in front of hers. “This [expletive] is trying to block me in! Who are you?” she says. The man gets out of his truck, his hand appearing to stay behind his back the entire conversation.
He starts yelling, though his words are largely inaudible through the window. He does make clear it’s his property. She explains she had just delivered a package and questions why he’s approaching her car. The man then retreats from her vehicle, seemingly understanding she was there for a job. The driver then shouts, “Don’t try to block me in! You got me [expletive] up!” before the video ends.
In follow-up comments, the Georgia creator said she contacted the police about the incident, but so far felt it wasn’t being taken seriously.
The Encounter Hit a Nerve
The man’s hidden hand quickly caught commenters’ attention. “And what he have behind his back? Stay safe sis!” one asked. Another openly wondered if he had been hiding a weapon the entire time.
Viewers urged her toward both legal and professional consequences, with many pushing her to report him and his business. “Did this in a business vehicle! Press them charges. File a complaint to his employer!” one person wrote. Another added, “Leave those google reviews, instagram reviews, contact his boss. Call that number, report it to BBB. ALL THAT.”
The encounter also had commenters talking about race and what it can mean to work while Black. “This is why we need a law protecting us because we can’t even work while black!” one viewer wrote.
Another user questioned why someone would even order a delivery if they planned to treat the driver this way. “Why would he or whomever order something to their home if they gonna act like that. Baby atp they need an option to only have their selected race deliver. I’m sick of it. If you want a white driver, baby here have at it bc we really do not gaf!“
At the end of the day, no one should have to choose between earning a living and feeling safe while doing it. That was the sentiment behind many of the comments, with viewers making it clear that a job shouldn’t come at the expense of someone’s safety.
