A man was left crying in pain on the ground after an alleged encounter with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Long Beach, California. A local immigration activist group alleges that a federal agent’s vehicle struck the man while he was riding an e-bike, leaving him with a broken arm.
The incident reportedly happened on Saturday, October 17, near East 56th Street and Elm Avenue in North Long Beach. According to Stop ICE Net, which shared videos of the encounter, ICE vehicles had been spotted in the residential neighborhood around midday, prompting community alerts.
In its account of the incident, Stop ICE Net alleged that an ICE vehicle struck the man while he was riding his e-bike. The group said agents then tased him twice, pinned him to the ground, and handcuffed him behind his back despite his apparent injuries.
The Instagram account shared multiple videos documenting the chaotic scene. In the first clip, the man is already pinned to the ground and can be heard moaning in pain and saying his arm hurts. Agents appear to keep him restrained as people nearby yell and record what is happening.
The videos also show a separate confrontation involving a woman whom Stop ICE Net identified as a U.S. citizen. According to the group, agents detained her and placed her in a vehicle while her husband and other community members demanded that she be released.
The situation grew increasingly chaotic as residents challenged the agents and demanded answers. Stop ICE Net alleged that agents became aggressive toward community members and tried to intimidate them.
Long Beach police officers also arrived at the scene and spoke with people in the area. The videos shared by the account show the confrontation continuing as the woman is taken away in an ICE vehicle.
The videos were shared on Instagram by @stopicenet and later reshared on X by @LongTimeHistory.
Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson acknowledged reports that a resident had been injured during an encounter with federal agents and confirmed that Long Beach Police Department officers transported the resident for medical attention. The city said it was working to verify details and document what happened.

Internet Reacts to Long Beach Federal Agent Encounter
The incident has sparked angry reactions online. One commenter wrote, “So they run him over – breaking his arm, and they still cuffed him, for what? Is it a crime for POC to ride their bikes on the streets now?” Another wrote, “JFC, listening to that guy moan in pain is too fricken much! I wish there was some way for this video to get out to the masses before people vote.”
A third wrote, “My God, when this goes south for the ICE agents, it will be epic. Do they honestly believe that they will all be pardoned? They will still have to live and move around the community. The names will get out, and they will have to face the consequences of ‘Just doing my job.’”
For now, questions remain about exactly what led to the confrontation and how the man was injured. While the videos show him on the ground crying out in pain as agents restrain him, officials have not publicly confirmed claims that an ICE vehicle struck him, that his arm was broken, or that agents tased him twice.
