Fan-Fiction Explodes for Detective Pikachu

Detective Pikachu commercials are everywhere right now. Ryan Reynolds is outdoing himself with the famed Pokemon right now. And fans are coming out of the woodwork in support for him. The movie is out this coming Friday and Pokemon fans are creating Detective Pikachu fanfiction.

• Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool (who share a voice with Pikachu in the movie) are the focal points of several jokes in this illustrated fan comic:
  • Unsolvable
• Some focus on Pikachu’s detective work, finding serial killers and chasing down leads:
  • Detective Pikachu and the Case of the Serial Killing Pokémon
• In some, the fans channeled their inner Shakespeare to honor their little yellow friend:
  • His name is Piiiiiiiikachu
• Others made short and created vignettes to introduce the star of the movie:
  • Pikachu, the lost savior

Many of these stories have been shared widely within Pokemon Facebook groups and Reddit. The closer the film gets the more Pokemon is going to be popping up.

I am looking forward to it. Critics are saying it is one of the best gaming movies created. From the technology to the cast, Detective Pikachu is taking over social media. Hopefully, this does help Nintendo with  Pokefest in Chicago this June. Registration closes soon. 

Fans and companies are working together, Bestbuy, Spotify, Gamestop, and even AMC to promote the up and coming movie. Share all of your thoughts and fanfictions and tag us. In the meantime order your movie tickets online or at your local theatre to show your support. I already have my tickets for opening weekend. And it may not be as big as Infinity Endgame, but it is sure to be entertaining.
