Many families tend to hide too many shocking secrets that could scare anyone. However, some secrets go beyond even covering up illegal acts. For example, a girl suspected that a woman had kidnapped her “own daughter,” which led to the discovery of a scam and a dangerous network of people in Alaska that had happened decades ago. This is when people wonder if it is better to know the truth or to stay away from such disturbing information.
On her TikTok account @cassdamm, she shared a story from when she was very young. In the story, Cass was with one of her friends and talked about how her friend’s mother was adopted. For one reason or another, Cass told her friend that she suspected her grandmother had kidnapped her mother because she was sure that no one would want to be with her alcoholic grandmother. Cass then convinced her friend to take an ancestry DNA test to verify her suspicion. The girls also continued to investigate babies of the same age as her friend’s mother. This was while they waited for the test results.
‘I love how you immediately saw Winnie and were like ๐ซต๐ซตkidnapper!‘ commented KC.
Despite none of them expecting that a baseless accusation that their friend’s grandmother had kidnapped her daughter would uncover a scam that had taken place in Alaska decades earlier. Because when their friend’s mother was born, there were several cases where women had babies, but they died. The strange thing is, there was no evidence to prove it, like the bodies. The theory is that the hospital sold those babies. So the girls believed that the mother could be dealing with one of those cases. However, DNA testing shows that the friend matches her mom’s biological father, who contacted her.
The man revealed that he and his girlfriend had the baby when they were teenagers and were forced to give the baby up. The baby was supposed to go to a good family with the church’s help, and they would provide the baby with her biological parents’ information. Just in case the baby wanted to contact them when she grew up. There was no record of such an agreement with the church. This is because they sold the baby for $2,000 to the friend’s grandmother.
‘So Technicallllllllyyyyyyyyy you were right,’ said Kelsi AKB.
Unfortunately, stories like these still exist. That is why we, as a society, must fight harder against injustice and demand more for the safety of children.
