Out of all cities in Texas, Dallas is the one that keeps surprising us. Whether it is some strange food, a Karen, or anything completely different, there’s always something new to see. The most recent situation involved a driver in Dallas who was transporting their lawn mower in their vehicle, or rather, on it. Beyond that, they didn’t strap the mower at all, meaning that if it had fallen from the vehicle, it would’ve caused a terrible accident.
The Redditor who caught the bizarre event was Plus-Development-603 and shared it on the city’s subreddit. In the picture, you can observe a driver transporting a lawn mower through the streets of Dallas. However, there are many red flags about this situation. For starters, you should transport a mower this way. Period. There are many other ways to do so and even more suitable vehicles that can do the job, so putting it on top of a sedan is a terrible idea. Two, it seems the driver only placed a cardboard or wood piece to protect the vehicle, but we can’t see anything that’s strapping the mower. That means that if this person had hit the brakes hard or accelerated more than necessary, it would’ve caused an accident.
The Dallas community was nice enough to give the driver some advice on how to transport the mower.
“Those knobs about halfway up the handle loosen so the handle can be folded in half, then if you squeeze in the sides of the handle at the bottom you can fold the whole handle forward so that it’ll fit in the trunk of many cars.” – noncongruent via Reddit.
It is uncertain if the authorities stopped the driver, but we hope they did. While this image is certainly funny, what this person did could’ve endangered many. We can only hope that these citizens will see their mistakes and maybe learn a few lessons on properly transporting a mower.
