Activision is gorgeously returning to Steam. Reddit users noticed that Activision now has a complete official Steam publisher page over the weekend. Popular games like Call of Duty, Prototype, Zork, Vampire: The Masquerade, and even relatively little-known like Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro is currently available on the publisher’s Steam page.
You Can Now Get Activision Games on Steam
The most important news of the year thus far has been Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which might cost up to $68.7 billion. And now, the updated Activision page shows that the publisher is getting set to close on the most significant gaming deal in history.
Looking further into the page, it appears that Activision offers 51 games and 158 pieces of DLC. So, Activision’s Steam page presently has 215 titles in total. Actually, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and similar games were widely available and haven’t been newly added to the publisher’s profile page. However, some hit games, especially Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, are back on Steam. Last month, Activision officially released the long-rumored sequel and stated it would be available on Steam from day one.
On the other hand, some little-known titles are also discounted on the renewed Steam page:
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – 50% off
- Spyro Reignited Trilogy – 65% off
- Pharaoh + Cleopatra – 50% off
- Caesar 3 – 35% off
- Caesar 4 – 40% off
- Space Quest Collection – 67% off
Activision had left Steam to sell its games and avoid paying Valve a share of the profits. The publisher has preferred Battle.net for its PC games during this period. In addition, Valve failed in May to stop the antitrust investigation into its Steam platform. A US judge at the time claimed it was conceivable Valve had abused its clout to suppress pricing competition and misuse Steam’s market dominance.
