Actress Mamie Laverock’s health and recovery remain uncertain as she battles for her life after narrowly surviving an accident. The 19-year-old, notable for her appearances on This Means War, Psych, When Calls the Heart and A Series of Unfortunate Events had it tough these past weeks beginning with a medical emergency on May 11. The undisclosed medical emergency prompted her mom Nicole Compton to rush her to an area hospital earlier this month.
Mamie eventually got transferred to another hospital in Vancouver, Canada to continue treatment. Just as things seemed to return to normal for the teen star, another unfortunate event befell her on Sunday, May 26. Mamie, who was well on her way to recovery reportedly fell off a balcony from the fifth floor of the hospital’s building, per the GoFundMe page her family set up to raise funds to support her medical expenses. It read,
“We are deeply saddened to report that Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”
The fundraiser page revealed that the actress Mamie Laverock sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident, leading her to undergo multiple surgeries. The teenager is currently on life support, battling to stay alive.
