Netflix released a trailer today for the upcoming Adam Sandler basketball movie ‘Hustle.’ย Produced by LeBron James, Adam Sandler is a washed-up basketball scout trying to find his way back into the NBA and has a chance when he finds a phenomenal streetball player while in Spain.
The Adam Sandler basketball movie ‘Hustle’ was written by Will Fetters and Taylor Materne. Will Fetters has worked on many screenplays, such as Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s Oscar-winning film A Star is Born, and Taylor Materne has worked on the writings of a few past “NBA 2k” games. ‘Hustle’ was directed by South Philly native Jeremiah Zagar and is currently in post-production.
According to IMDB, the ‘Hustle’ storyline is described as follows,
“After being fired, pro basketball scout, Stanley Beren, is excited, for the first time in a very long while, when he serendipitously discovers Spanish amateur baller, Bo Cruz, playing in a park outside Madrid. Fueled with new-found purpose, Stanley makes it his mission to groom Bo for the NBA as he believes they both can make it.”
The Adam Sandler Basketball movie ‘Hustle’ stars iconic female rapper, singer, and actress Queen Latifah along with Ben Foster of Hell Or High Water and famed actor and filmmaker Robert Duvall whose career has spanned more than seven decades. Also making their acting debut is Juancho Hernangรณmez, a Spanish-born NBA player on the Utah Jazz.

Adam Sandler switches it up and takes on a more serious role in ‘Hustle.’ I think we can all say we’d love to see more Sandler in serious roles, especially after Uncut Gems.
