Hilarious parenting videos have taken the world by storm, and I’m here for it. As a parent myself, I take great joy in showcasing the funny sides of parenting and the support that parents give one another on social media. An Alabama mom shared a joke video with a hilarious twist after she gave birth just one week ago. Of course, the reception was mostly positive. However, there are always a few viewers who are going to find fault with anything you do as a parent.

The video was posted by Steph (@steffanddaboys on TikTok) and reshared on r/TikTokCringe as a “wholesome/humor” tagged video. In her video, she’s seen holding her adorable one-week-old baby, who is yawning and looking around. She then says, “So I have had this product for about a week. It arrived maybe about three weeks early.” As she continues her fake but loving ‘review’, she smothers her little boy in kisses and is all smiles.

She says about her son in a true-to-form product review, “It’s cuddly, you can love it, you can hug it, you can kiss it. However, from the hours of 2 to 5, this young fella here thinks that he can look me in my eyeballs and um, I really don’t appreciate that. So, lack of sleep is definitely one of the things that comes along with this specific product.” She clearly loves her son and being a parent.

Of course, nothing humorous or wholesome can be shared on the internet without a little judgment from other parents (or just individuals in general, kids or no kids). One person showed off their armchair parenting by commenting, “Oh the flopping of the neck” with an astonished face emoji.

A second commenter replied, “Don’t worry, she is supporting the neck!” You can see that Steph is holding her newborn’s neck from behind throughout the video. They continue, “Babies aren’t as fragile as you think. This is what it looks like when you hold a newborn upright. They’re just loose at this age. Signed, an infant/toddler caregiver.”

Others agreed the ‘baby review’ was sweet and showed affection for the new mother/son relationship. One person showed support, “Some armchair parents in these comments. Let this mom who has no sleep and no social time have some fun making a video on the internet. Babies neck gonna be okay.”

As another stated, “All of these “I’m childless and even I know you need to support the neck” comments are irritating and self-important.” Just from watching, you can tell Steph has experience and knows what she’s doing. She’s clearly qualified to make a baby review!
