Videos of a woman in Oxford, Alabama, confronting people who appear to be anti-abortion protesters are drawing strong reactions across social media. The clips were originally shared on TikTok by @lesa.lace, the woman involved in the confrontation.
In one of the videos, which has already amassed thousands of likes, she is seen arguing with a lone protester seated next to a sign that reads “Pray to End Abortion.” While the clip does not show how the interaction began and picks up in the middle of the exchange, it is immediately clear that she disagrees with what they are advocating and has no intention of staying quiet.
The woman told the protester that she did not care about their religious beliefs and that it was her mother, not Jesus, who gave her life. “That Jesus don’t give me [expletive],” she said. “I don’t love him… Don’t mention me and your God in the same sentence.” The protester tried to respond several times, but the woman kept speaking over her, leaving her little room to get her words out.
It Continued With Another Protester
In a second video, the woman approached a different protester, this time an elderly woman who was seated in another area. She repeated the same sentiment, again rejecting the message they were sharing. She even claimed she was “god” and accused the woman of being among the “white folks” she said were responsible for Jesus’ death.
Despite how heated the moment was, the older woman did not raise her voice or engage in the same way, choosing instead to remain calm as the confrontation played out. The woman eventually walked away, but not before berating the protester about her appearance.
The Internet Is Divided on the Alabama Woman’s Reaction
People online had mixed reactions after watching the videos. Some criticized the woman, saying that she did not need to escalate things to that level. “Wow !!!why are you so angry,” one person commented. Another remarked, “Disrespect is not necessary.”
However, many others supported her and appreciated how direct she was. “This was delightful to watch 💜💜,” one comment read. Another said, “I found my people. You got a follower.” A third wrote, “My mother is my god! She created me!” A fourth added, “This made me feel so good!😂”
