In a video that’s gone viral, a bear in Anchorage, Alaska, finds itself in a frustrating battle with a “bear-proof” garbage can. The clip, showing the determined animal struggling to open the well-secured can, has sparked a mix of sympathy and humor among viewers. Despite its best efforts, it’s clear that this trash can was no match for its paws.

Some viewers couldn’t help but feel sorry for the creature, with one commenting, “I feel bad for the little guy.” Others, however, couldn’t resist cracking jokes about the bear’s dilemma. “Part of me is like somebody please throw the bear a steak. Then the other part is like…nahhhhh,” one commenter said. For some, the bear’s struggle brought to mind their own kitchen frustrations. “Me trying to get the cookie jar open!!” another person quipped, drawing a comparison between the bear’s predicament and their own attempts at satisfying their sweet tooth.

Others took a more commercial approach to the scenario. “Whatever company made that trash can needs to buy that footage and use it for a commercial!! Talk about Bear Proof!” one enthusiastic viewer suggested, clearly impressed by the trash can’s ability to hold its ground. And of course, for a few, this video proved to be more entertaining than some of the recent headlines. “More entertaining than the Bezo wedding,” a commenter wrote, adding to the already hilarious reactions.

Homeowners Shocked After Black Bear Enters Kitchen

This comes after a wild and unusual encounter recently took place in Bell County, Kentucky, where a black bear stunned homeowners by crashing through their ceiling and landing right on their kitchen stove. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. last month when the bear managed to make its way up a ladder outside, squeezing through an opening into the attic. However, the bear’s exploration took a dramatic turn when it fell through the ceiling, causing significant damage and a surprising landing on top of the stove.

Wildlife officers and a local sheriff’s deputy quickly arrived at the scene to find the bear seemingly unfazed, perched calmly on the stove amid debris and kitchen cabinets. The sight was both bizarre and comical, as photos from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife captured the bear’s composed demeanor in the midst of the chaos. A clear square hole in the ceiling served as evidence of the bear’s unlikely descent, with officials speculating that the bear had been searching for food or shelter.

While no one was harmed, this incident adds to the growing number of wildlife-related surprises that have been happening in suburban areas, as animals like bears venture into human spaces in search of food or a new home. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has urged residents to take precautions to prevent such encounters, including securing potential entry points for wildlife.
