The news of Alison Hammond’s engagement to Ben Hawkins is not matching the recent shocker from the English TV personality who hints at being single. While fans expected a wedding date announcement, she shocked them. Hammond alleged it was all fake and now, she is on the market in search of a man.
Alison Hammond and Ben Hawkins were a tight-lipped couple. Though the public was aware of their romance they kept their matters in-house.
Last month, rumors of an Alison Hammond Ben Hawkins engagement swirled around town. This was after Hawkins’ dad, Colin claimed the lovebirds proposed to each other. He told a newsletter that they had proposed to each other, but without a ring.
Before this news could fly, the “This Morning” host cleared the air. Her colleague, Dermot O’Leary, shared excitement over the engagement, but her response was:
“It’s fake news babes, I’m so sorry. I’m not engaged. I told you that whenever I’m engaged or getting married, I’ll be the first one to tell you.”
Hammond reassured her audience that if she gets hooked, there will be a ring to prove it. She added that it would be all over her timeline.
Well, she sure is not shy about her status and a recent episode proved this. The onscreen diva unapologetically spilled news of her breakup in the middle of a chit-chat.

Alison Hammond Single Weeks After Tagging Engagement News to Ben Hawkins “Fake”
As usual, the 48-year-old ITV presenter sat down for a sensational show while addressing the Love Island spin-off show. O’Leary announced that the new show “Romance Retreat” will have Davina McCall as host.
Unlike the original, this would focus on older hopefuls, including single parents ready to find love. O’Leary’s comment about Hammond joining the cast piqued her interest.
She said:
“Hey, I’m single.”
But her co-star was not having it. He read out the requirements, emphasizing that only single parents are eligible. Still, Alison Hammond single status rang in her response. She let out a chuckle and added:
“Well I am single, I’m single.”
Hammond had the backing of her co-hosts who asked her to join the cast. She finally revealed the possible outcome if she decides to join.
According to Hammond
“I’d give the money to charity, but I could do that and find a nice man!”
For now, there has not been any official statement backing Alison Hammond and Ben Hawkins’ separation news. But again, these two are very tight-lipped.
