One of Steam‘s biggest hits is finally coming to consoles, and you’re going to want to buckle up. Choo Choo Charles, a first-person survival horror, is following in the footsteps of recent games like Baldur’s Gate 3 as it makes the migration from PC to Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. The game has been a huge hit on Steam since it’s release last year, so it’s not surprising that it’s making the jump to reach wider audiences. Interested players will be able to get Choo Choo Charles on console starting December 21st.
Viral Steam Hit is Coming Soon to Consoles
Developed by Two Star Games, Choo Choo Charles is a first-person survival-horror game that has players desperately trying to escape Charles: a gory, spider-like train straight out of a child’s worst nightmare. Players have to navigate the game’s open world island while battling Charles on their own train, which comes with a mounted gun. The player’s train is upgradeable, slowly making it easier and easier to combat Charles and his horrifying spider legs.
Choo Choo Charles won’t be the first game in recent memory to begin on Steam and later jump to consoles. Game of the Year Winner Baldur’s Gate 3 also employed the same strategy, coming to the PS5 a month after it’s release on PC and after it had garnered a strong audience. Choo Choo Charles is a little later to make the jump from Steam, having come out last year, but it’s had time to go viral on YouTube and Twitch in the meantime.
If you’re a console player with your eye on Choo Choo Charles, then you’ll be glad to know it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 on December 21st. Nintendo Switch players can expect it on January 18th.
