In true Gears of War fashion, E-Day also has a plethora of collectibles that you can find while you play the campaign. While some of them are quite easy to locate, as you’ll eventually stumble upon them, there are some that require you to do more digging. For that reason, we’ve prepared a guide to show you all the Collectibles you can find during Act 1 of Gears of War: E-Day. Watch the video here if you’d like a visual guide as well.
Act 1 – Chapter 1 (3 Collectibles)
In the first chapter of Act 1 in Gears of War: E-Day, you’ll find only 3 Collectibles, all of which are easy to spot, since the main story missions will lead you to them.
Monster Jaw
After obtaining your melee weapon, follow the market and look at the newsstand to your right.
Bloody Transit Worker’s Helmet
Follow the main mission until you head underground, and look for the room to your left with the body and flashlight.
Front Page of the Kalona Times
Enter the Cafe & Bakery in the street and go to the kitchen at the back.
Act 1 – Chapter 2 (4 Collectibles)
There are only four Collectibles for this chapter, most of which are pretty close to one another and quite easy to find, as they are part of the main mission’s path.
KPD Police Bulletin
Inspect the desk on the east side of the bullpen.
Bloodied Police Chief’s Badge
Inside the Chief’s office, where the body is.
Army Recruitment Pamphlet
At the safe area where all other civilians are gathering. Look for the wall with the COG emblems.
Try On Pilot Helmet
To the right of the above collectible.
Act 1 – Chapter 3 (2 Collectibles)
The Collectibles of Chapter 3 are also easy to find, but can also be easy to miss, as some happen during or after some hectic moments of Act 1 in Gears of War: E-Day.
Tomatoes, Canned
Look to the hall on the left inside your warehouse on your way to help the gear with the machine gun.
Broken Lancer Bayonet
After the cutscene where Marcus gets his scar. Turn left and look for the body with the bayonet.
Act 1 – Chapter 4 (4 Collectibles)
The final chapter only has four collectibles, which, compared to the above, are easy to miss.
Front Page of the Tyran Chronicle
As you are walking with the squad, turn right to grab the newspaper on the stairs.
Anti-UIR Propaganda Poster
Take a right before entering the hospital to find the poster on the wall.
Landa Memorial Medical Supplies Memo
Enter the hospital and look for the memo on a desk to your right.
COG Tags of Private Brick Rosso
Look for the COG’s soldier body next to the police vehicle just before entering the park.
Since the starting levels are linear, finding the collectibles of Act 1 in Gears of War: E-Day shouldn’t be hard. However, things get complicated in Act 2, where the semi-open-world part kicks in.
