Yinlin is one of the most versatile 5-star Resonators in Wuthering Waves. With the ability to become a support or DPS party member, having her around is a boon for any group. However, before you can use her destructive capabilities, you need to get her up to speed. To do so, you must gather all of Yinlin’s materials in Wuthering Waves, which will take you on a mushroom hunt across some of Solaris 3’s forests.
Best Farming Methods for Yinlin’s Materials in Wuthering Waves
Contrary to other gacha games where you can auto-play your way for farming materials, increasing Yinlin’s power needs a more hands-on approach. You must save a lot of Shell Credits, beat many TDs to death, face one particular boss, and pick many mushrooms. Since the first three are pretty straightforward, let us dive into the mushroom-picking part, which is the most time-consuming.
Best Coriolus Farming Route
Coriolus is the regional material you’ll need for Yinlin in Wuthering Waves. You’ll need 60 Coriolus to get Yinlin from Rank 1 to Rank 6. Below, we’ve made a recommended farming route for this reagent.
Forbidden Forest – 10 Coriolus
To begin your farming route, fast-travel to the Forbidden Forest Resonance Nexus and head to the village. From here, start right at the village’s entrance.
Turn right at the entrance to the village and head to the closest tree. You’ll spot the first mushroom at one of its overgrown roots.
Keep going down the road until you reach a tree covered in thorns. You’ll see the next Coriolus in front of the bouncy mushroom.
Turn around and walk toward the next big tree. Defeat the TDs on the road, and you’ll see the third and fourth Coriolus.
Across the previous tree, you’ll see another stump with a bouncy mushroom. Walk toward it and grab the fifth Coriolus.
Keep following the road until you see another cluster of TDs. Behind them, there’s a fallen log; you’ll see the sixth mushroom on its left side.
Turn left and go down the slope until you see another root. The seventh mushroom is ripe for the picking.
Across from where you picked the seventh one, you’ll find the eighth Coriolus next to another bouncy mushroom beside a stump covered in thorns.
For the last two, follow the road, defeat the TDs, and past the stone statues resembling humans, you’ll see a tree with large yellow mushrooms; the last two Coriolus are there.
Dim Forest/Forbidden Forest – 7 Coriolus
You’ll find the next seven Coriolus close to the Dim Forest Nexus Beacon. For the first one, fast-travel to the beacon and head east until you find a fallen log on top of a hill.
If you’re facing the log of the first mushroom, turn to your left until you spot an overgrown root; you’ll spot the third and fourth Coriolus there.
After gathering the previous two, head toward the body of water, cross it, and you’ll find two more Coriolus near the road stuck to some roots.
For the remaining two, you need to enter the contaminated zone and head to the islet in the middle. You’ll find two mushrooms on a root.
Dim Forest – 13 Coriolus
For the last batch of Coriolus and the last materials you need to gather from the world for Yinlin’s Ascension in Wuthering Waves, you must head to the Dim Forest. You can start by heading to the Dim Forest Nexus Beacon. Fly to the ground, where the road becomes a fork. Stick to the right path, past the shooting challenge, and you’ll see two Coriolus at a root.
Keep following the road, fight the TDs, and you’ll see a large tree coming out from the ground and fused with the landscape. There are two more mushrooms there.
If you follow the bath, you’ll enter Giant Banyan. The map will show large mushroom-like structures. You’ll see two Coriolus below the smallest one.
After gathering those two, follow the road, fight the plant-like TDs, and across from them, you’ll see a breakable rock next to a huge root. Behind the root, you’ll find two more mushrooms.
For the last batch of Coriolus, fast-travel to the Giant Banyan Nexus Beacon. Then, fly off the cliff. As you glide, you’ll see two mushrooms sticking from the root.
Once you land and collect the Coriolus, head left and enter the cave. You’ll see a tree in the middle of a pond; here’s where the three final mushrooms are; two are in front of the tree, and one is in the back.
Purchasable at Jinzhou – 15 Coriolus
If you have the Shell Credits and want to save a bit of time, you can head to Jinzhou’s pharmacy, which I marked on the above image, and buy 15 Coriolus. At the moment I purchased them, it showed the store would reset in five days and 12 hours. This means you can only buy a finite amount of materials weekly.
Group Abomination Tacet Core – Mech Abomination
The next Ascension material you need for Yinlin in Wuthering Waves is the Group Abomination Tacet Core. You obtain it by defeating the Mech Abomination boss. To find it, head to the southeast area of the map until you locate the Court of Savantae Ruins. Head into the building, activate the beacon, and drop down; you’ll encounter the boss there. Depending on your world’s level, you’ll get a different amount of Group Abomination Tacet Cores. If you’re struggling, we have a guide with some recommended F2P teams for all types of content. You’ll need 46 Group Abomination Tacet Cores to fully upgrade Yinlin.
Whisperin Cores and Shell Credits
Last but not least, you’ll need the remaining materials for Yinlin in Wuthering Waves:
- LF Whisperin Core x4
- MF Whisperin Core x12
- HF Whisperin Core x12
- FF Whisperin Core x4
- Shell Credits x170,000
For Whisperin Cores, you can obtain them by defeating TDs in the world, which will be quite the grind. You can also synthesize a few of them if you have enough materials. In the case of Shell Credits, you can do pretty much any type of content. Main quests will be your best source, and then a few instances to get money, but if you’re only focusing on Yinli, you should have enough credits for her just by playing the story.
Overall, we feel Yinlin is a great investment due to her versatile kit and damage output. Characters such as Calcharo and Verina will make Yinlin an unstoppable force. So, if you have the time, resources, and luck to have her, don’t hesitate to level her up and add her to your group.
