Want to know about all the Dominants in Final Fantasy 16? Like all previous games in the series, Final Fantasy 16 will tell you a completely new story about a world called Valisthea. There is magic in this world that people can use thanks to the Mothercrystals. However, there are a few special people who can use the most powerful magic without crystals and even turn into huge Eikons. So, read on to learn who the Dominants are in Final Fantasy 16.
Who Are the Dominants Final Fantasy 16?
The Final Fantasy series has always had the feature of summoning various creatures. But the developers have completely redesigned it with a new title. Therefore, instead of summoning, characters can use the power of certain Eikons, such as Shiva, Ifrit, and Phoenix in Final Fantasy 16. Such people are called Dominants.
A Dominant from birth has the power of Eikon, however, they may not know they posses it. Sometimes this power awakens after many years. And once the Dominant masters their power, they can use the element of their Eikon whenever they want. Moreover, they can turn into an Eikon, but this will put a lot of stress on the body. And as a result, after frequent use of Eikon, the Dominant may begin to turn to stone.
However, this power is too strong not to be used. Therefore, in every country on Valisthea, there is a Dominant to resolve conflicts, both military and political.
Phoenix (Joshua Rosfield)
Joshua Rosfield is one of the few Dominants who awakened his power at an early age. However, he had rather poor health, due to which the use of the power of the Phoenix greatly exhausted him. He was able to transform into Phoenix during the tragic events at Phoenix Gate but was defeated by Ifrit.
Shiva (Jill Warrick)
This is one of the first Eikons you will see in Final Fantasy 16. Shiva is a powerful Eikon of Ice and their Dominant is Jill Warrick. She is from the Northern Territories but spent her childhood in Rosaria with Clive and Joshua. She was unaware of her power until she fell into the hands of Ironblood after the battle at Phoenix Gate. As a result, she was enslaved by the Iron Kingdom and fought for it until she was rescued by Clive.
Ifrit (Clive Rosfield)
Ifrit is a unique fire Eikon, as no one has ever heard of two Eikons of the same element. This power awakened in Clive at the same time that Joshua turned into Phoenix. However, Clive for a long time refused to accept the fact that he is the creature that killed his brother. As a result, he served the Empire as a Bearer for 13 years and was looking for a second Fire Dominant.
Titan (Hugo Kupka)
The Eikon of Stone is the largest of all the Eikons in Final Fantasy 16, so its destructive power is monstrous. The Dominant is named Hugo, who holds a high position in the government of Dhalmekia. Thanks to this, he was able to amass a lot of wealth and even find his love in the face of Benedikta.
Garuda (Benedikta Harman)
Benedikta Harman is the Dominant of Garuda, the Eikon of the Wind. She is very cunning, so she manages a detachment that obtains information for the kingdom. She also has a romantic relationship with Hugo, which will play an important role in Clive’s fate.
Ramuh (Cidolfus Telamon)
Cidolfus, better known as Cid, is the head of a group of people who help Bearers and Dominants around the world. Previously, he held one of the main posts in the Royal Waloeder Army but left because he did not agree with the actions of Barnabas. Despite being the Dominant of Ramuh, Eikon of lightning, he only uses this power as a last resort. But after he met Clive and became his mentor and friend, he had to turn into Ramuh quite often.
Bahamut (Dion Lesage)
Dion is an example of a brave knight. And this is not surprising, because he is the crown prince of the Holy Empire and the leader of the Dragoons, the strongest order of knights in the Empire. He fights bravely on the battlefield, which is why Bahamut has become a symbol of victory in the Empire. However, it seems that his father sees his son as nothing more than a Dominant that can be used to defeat other nations.
Odin (Barnabas Tharmr)
Barnabas is the king of Waloed. He took this place only because of his great strength. Barnabas, like Dion, fights on the front lines of the battle, riding through the air in the form of Odin on horseback. And this Dominant can compete in strength even with Bahamut.
