Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone Season 4 is here with the Kar98k, and the meta has certainly changed with Striker-9 nerfed down to hell. There’s no category in the game that’s as useless as the sniper rifles in Season 4, and there’s a new SMG in town that can defeat most of the other close-range weapons in MW3 and Warzone. The developer’s love for AK-47 continues, and the MCW remains to be one of the best-balanced ARs in MW3. We’ve got the info, so let’s start ranking the best MW3 and Warzone meta weapons in Season 4.
10. Kastov 762
The good old AK-47 didn’t receive the buffs it deserved in the Modern Warfare 2 seasons last year. However, it seems like MW3 and Warzone Season 4 is so kind to it that we’re finally getting to see Kastov 762 as a meta rifle in both games. Since the Season 3 Reloaded update, the Kastov 762 has been buffed in terms of damage and effective range. Not to worry about the recoil though, the new JAK Requiem kit coming in Season 4 will fix it all.
9. MTZ-556
MTZ-556 has always been a balanced assault rifle in MW3 and Warzone. Good fire rate, manageable accuracy, and enough power to win the mid-range 1v1 combat against opponents. All that is multiplied with the recent MW3 and Warzone Season 4 buffs, making MTZ-556 a good choice for breaking enemy armor.
8. MCW (JAK Raven)
Since the release of the Season 3 update, the JAK Raven MCW has been one of the best ARs to use in close and mid-range. The conversion kit adds mobility points and a faster fire rate to the mix, while you can fix the damage penalty with the High Grain Rounds attachments.
7. Holger 556
The Holger 556, is a cursed AR that confuses almost everyone. This weapon is the fruit of the seasons, you pick it once and it’s great, you pick it twice and it’s nerfed. In MW3 and Warzone Season 4, however, the Holger 556 is currently a meta rifle to have in your arsenal. The steadiness of this AR gives it a solid A+ for hitting long-range shots if you run a good optic like the Corio Eagleseye on it.
6. FJX Horus
Here comes the SMG that’s been buffed in almost every single stat you might think of. Damage, Range, Mobility, Accuracy, you name it. The FJX Horus is currently a meta weapon of the MW3 and Warzone Season 4, and with a good build, you’ll cheese almost every close-range battle; with good movement, of course.
5. Striker
Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the Striker has always been a rock-solid SMG to use. The weapon has nearly 0 recoil on its stock build, and with good attachments, you can use it as an AR. Striker does not have the best fire rate, but the damage on its thing speaks for itself.
4. DG-58 LSW
The king of the mid to long-range battles, no other AR or LMG has dared to dethrone the DG-58 LSW. To have a high fire rate, punching damage, and absolutely no recoil with 2.5x optics is just not fair to fight against.
3. Lachmann Shroud (JAK Decimator Kit)
MW2 weapons are climbing the ranks these days, and with MW3 and Warzone Season 4, we have a new conversion kit in town to make the Lachmann Shroud a meta SMG. Poor SMGs used to shoot in bursts, but now you can have the same high damage on full auto. Talk about a beast that’s just broke free.
2. Superi 46
The Superi 46 is like the DG-58 LSW of the SMGs category for close-range combat. Why would you move way faster in ADS than normal walking with the Superi 46? This SMG is the definition of the word “Broken.” The damage is great, mobility is out of this world, and man do we even have to deal with any recoil while shooting with this meta MW3 and Warzone Season 4 SMG.
1. Kar98k
RIP all other sniper and marksman rifles in the game. The Kar98k has returned and after a long while, it has brought a smile to Dr. Disrespect’s face. Warzone feels just like how it used to back in MW 2019 with this rifle, and people are enjoying the one-shot meta of the Kar98k in MW3 and Warzone Season 4.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4 are currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
