Over the weekend, attendees at SDCC got the first peek at what awaits in the upcoming All-Out Avengers series. Now, Marvel is sharing that trailer with the rest of the world. The upcoming Avengers series, from Derek Landy and Greg Land, sees Earth’s mightiest heroes on their most action-packed adventures yet!
What Can We Expect In All-Out Avengers?
Marvel’s All-Out Avengers launches on September 7 and immediately puts the Avengers into action. The very first panel on the very first page offers no setup before the explosive fun begins. Now, a new trailer shows off just how wild this action is going to be. It shows off several heart-pounding scenes involving the Avengers. They include an action-packed face-off between Thor and a corrupted Captain Marvel. There is also an army of warriors under the command of a new threat: Queen Arrok.
Each issue will see members of the Avengers face-off in their own standalone battles. However, the series is building a connecting thread. Eventually, each of the smaller skirmishes will connect for a battle that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
What Else Do We Know?
The debut issue of Marvel’s All-Out Avengers #1 features an anniversary variant cover from J. Scott Campbell. This cover honors the 60th anniversary of founding Avenger Hank Pym or Ant-Man. It also pays homage to legendary artist Bob Layton’s Marvel Premiere #47.
Derek Landy shared a little bit about the series’ unique premise. He admits that the trick was to work within the confines of the concept while also delivering what everyone expects. For example, All-Out Avengers keeps the standalone battles relevant while also connecting an overarching storyline. To keep readers interested, Landy had to find the hook to keep them going from issue to issue. That hook ended up being to put the Avengers in the same situation as the reader, not knowing why this is all happening!
All-Out Avengers promises explosive action, and the trailer shows that it delivers.
