All Pokemon GO Mega Raids in August 2023
Mega Tyranitar – July 25 to August 4
- Dark-type Pokemon
- Best Rock-type Pokemon
- Weak against Fighting-type attacks
Mega Gyarados – August 4 to August 16
- Water/Dark-type
- The best moveset for Mega Gyarados is Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Weak against Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type moves
These two are a strong start, but they’re not the only Mega Raids Pokemon GO has to offer in August 2023.
Mega Salamence – August 16 to August 23 & August 27 to September 1
- Best Dragon-type Mega Evolutions
- Weak to Ice, Rock, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves
- Players must defeat it in Mega Raids and collect enough Mega Salamence Energy for its evolution.
All Pokemon GO Five-Star Raids in August 2023
Regidrago – July 25 to August 4
- Legendary Dragon-type Pokemon
- Has a high-health pool
- Its attack and defense stats are relatively low
Cresselia – August 4 to August 16
- Legendary Psychic-type Pokemon
- Has high Defense and Stamina stats
- Confusion & Future Sight being its strongest moveset
Keep up the pace because Pokemon GO has two more 5-star raids in August 2023.
Xerneas – August 16 to August 23 & August 27 to September 1
- Legendary Fairy-type Pokemon
- Its strongest moveset is Tackle & Giga Impact
- High maximum CP and a good choice for Raid
Yveltal – August 16 to August 23 & August 27 to September 1
- Dark/Flying-type Legendary Pokemon
- Weak to Electric, Fairy, Ice, and Rock-type attacks
- Its strongest moveset is Gust and Hurricane
All Primal Raids in August 2023

There are two Pokemon GO Primal Raids in August 2023, taking place outside and inside a special live event:
Primal Kyogre
- Legendary Water-type Pokemon
- Waterfall & Surf being its strongest moveset
- Weak to Grass and Electric moves
Primal Groudon
- Dual Ground/Fire-type Pokemon
- Resistant to Electric, Poison, Rock, and Steel-type moves
- Weak to Water and Ground-type moves
Also, the Pokemon GO Fest 2023 event will be held this month, in which you can find both Primal Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon on August 26 and 27.
