All Pokemon have their own nature, and every nature has its own effects. There are about 25 specific natures in the series. You generally find them on the Pokemon’s summary screen. The main games tend not to explain what a specific nature does, making it difficult for some players to understand what natures work best for a Pokemon. For example, many fans have difficulty piecing together the benefits of having a Pokemon with an impish or timid nature.
What is Nature?

A Pokemon’s nature is essentially a Pokemon’s personality. On the summary screen, where you find its nature, what the Pokemon likes to do can also be found on the same page. For instance, the summary page for a creature with a Naive nature may say it likes to thrash about. This is the Pokemon’s identity, making these monsters feel more individualistic.
Nature determines what kind of stats increases when you level up, with every nature specifying a particular stat increase. Pokemon nature also decreases a specific stat. Nature also determines what kind of flavors a Pokemon will like or dislike.

You can change nature by feeding it a mint. There’s a corresponding mint for all 25 natures in the games. Toxel is the only Pokemon whose evolutions are affected by what kind of nature it has. If a Toxel Pokemon has a Hardy, Brave, Adamant, Naughty, Docile, Lax, Hasty, Jolly, Naive, Rash, Sassy, Quirky, or Impish nature, it will evolve into Toxtricity Amped Form. If the Pokemon has a Lonely, Bold, Relaxed, Timid, Serious, Modest, Mild, Quiet, Bashful, Calm, Gentle, or Careful nature, it will evolve into a Toxtricity Low Key Form.
