I’ve made it a rule to never shop for anyone at least 20 days before Christmas Day. People can be so impatient and rude that it makes the entire experience not worth it. A Ross in California was really fed up with one customer who was recorded heckling the staff because of how long she had to wait in line. Honestly, with the number of items she has in her hands and where she is in line as of the video, she really had nothing to complain about.
Yet another Karen has been spotted in the wild. This time, she was found at a Ross, yelling at the employees checking out customers because they were doing their jobs and being friendly with the people in front of them. The video was posted to the TikTok account @swettmamasassgiraffe, which typically posts content completely different than this. In fact, most of the content tends to be about her family or dog.
While the woman in the video was screaming at the employees, you can see the customers they’re tending to try to look away sheepishly, as though this were partly their fault. The woman can be heard screaming, “Wait on the customer. You have people standing in line, and you’re standing here and chit-chatting.”
Considering how no one else seems to be upset at the employees, it’s safe to say that the woman yelling was the only one annoyed. What’s even worse is that the woman isn’t even very far back in the line; she’s next. She also only has two pairs of shoes in-hand, as opposed to the mountain of clothes the customers who are paying have on the counter.
California Karen Antagonizes Ross Staff
Commenters were quick to jump in the replies and give out their own opinions, many of which agreed with one another. Most of the comments lasered in on the specific store she was inside of, Ross, with one person saying, “If you are at Ross, the lines are known to be long, especially during the holidays… people need to be patient and learn how to act $16.99.”
Other people thought that the staff handled the situation well, especially seeing how hectic things can get during the holidays. One commenter even said, “I love when workers match customers energy.” Hopefully, this woman knows not to treat retail employees this way the next time she goes out to buy something.
