Directed by Nioh producer Fumihiko Yasuda and music from Inon Zur, Koei Tecmo’s samurai game is set in a pivotal era of Japanese history. To heighten the sense of immersion in the conflict between the nationalist samurai and foreign-backed shogunate force, the developer recruited talented but lesser-known voice actors. Although Rise of the Ronin voice actor names might not sound familiar, they all infuse each samurai, villager, and gaikokujin with depth and unique voices.
