Paper Girls is getting a TV adaption at Amazon and starts filming in Chicago later this year but we now know who the leads of this live-action will be! As reported by Comic Book, the news broke this Monday and so now we know the names of the leads. This roster includes Sofia Rosinsky (Fast Layne), Camryn Jones (Cherish the Day), Riley Lai Nelet (Altered Carbon), and Fina Strazza (A Christmas Melody).

Amazon Paper Girls

If the comic book that Amazon’s Paper Girls is anything to go by, the story should follow four young girls and the events that follow after 1988’s Halloween when our heroines find themselves caught in a war between mysterious factions. In turn, they must travel through time in order to save the world.

This whole thing will, as a project, go down at Amazon Studios with Christopher Cantwell, and Christopher C. Rogers filling in as creators and Stephanie Folsom coming in as a co-showrunner.

Taking the quote over from Comic Book, here’s what this trio had to say regarding the whole thing:

As huge fans of what Brian and Cliff created in Paper Girls, we couldn’t be more excited by the opportunity to bring this incredible adventure to life. This is a story with so much heart, and so many unique colors and dimensions — our sincere hope is not only to do justice to the source material, but to make Paper Girls unlike anything else currently on TV.”

At any rate, these days we seem to be seeing adaptations across mediums all over the place and Paper Girls and Amazon want in. This brings us to the important bit. What do you think about the cast? Are you excited to see Amazon’s Paper Girls? Have you read the comic? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.

In other news, the next Play of State scheduled for next week and, Cyberpunk 2077 comic book gets its first preview!
