I’ll admit it, I am absolutely addicted to Amazon.  It has become a running joke at my house that a package will be at my door every day.  From protein supplements, to computer glare-reducing glasses, to new underwear, I have turned to Amazon for almost everything in my daily life.  Before I know it, I will probably be buying my milk and bananas on Amazon.  I fought against spending 100 dollars to get a year’s subscription to Amazon Prime almost every day before caving in.  And now that I have that guarantee of two-day delivery, my useless spending has reached an all-time high.

So, it comes as no surprise that I have been anticipating Amazon Prime Day more than Christmas.  Lightning deals all day that will show up at my door in two days?  Sign me up!  As soon as I woke up, I began the day long process of watching the deals.  Almost every half hour, Amazon unveiled new deals.  Sadly, the disappointment across my face could be seen a mile away.  Amazon did not have anything GOOD to sell.

And I was not the only one who felt this way.  Thousands of users took to Facebook and Twitter to voice their displeasure about the sale.  In fact, #PrimeDayFail has been the most popular hash tag as of today.  Gizmondo did us the favor of gathering some great user quotes.  Here are a few:

“At least on Black Friday you can go to the store and punch someone to get the items you want. #PrimeDayFail”

“It’s really cool that @amazon was able to raid a Rite Aid and an abandoned Circuit City for this #PrimeDay sale! #PrimeDayFail”

“Silicon spoon rests? WTF is a silicon spoon rest? People rest their spoons on silicon? #PrimeDay #PrimeDayFail”

Needless to say, after all of the stuff I have bought on Amazon over the years, July 15th was a major letdown!  Hopefully Amazon will have decent stuff for the next go-round.
