A Louisiana man says police confronted him after an officer mistakenly believed he was involved in a fight. The encounter was caught on video, with the officer repeatedly ordering him to leave. The clip quickly divided TikTok, with viewers debating the officer’s behavior and what happened before the camera started rolling.
Posted to TikTok by @konnerpoche3, the video opens with the officer following the creator out of a building. “Your questions don’t [expletive] matter. Leave,” the officer tells him. The creator agrees to leave, saying he is going to go home and sleep. The officer responds that police will make sure he does.
According to the creator’s responses to comments, he had been standing near a door when a fight broke out. He says the officer mistakenly believed he was involved. He claims police then harassed him and chased him. In the caption, Konner asks viewers to weigh in on the encounter, writing, “do i have a case here? Lmk in the comments plz.”
Did Police Go Too Far?
The comments quickly turned against the Louisiana officer. Several viewers criticized the way he handled the interaction.“Yeah he needs to sit down he’s clearly dangerous and doesn’t need any authority,” one commenter wrote. Another summed up their reaction even more bluntly: “and they wonder why people hate and don’t trust cops.”
Some viewers believed the creator could have grounds for legal action based on his account. “u can absolutely get a case, following you around in a public space, harrassing you, tazing you with no legal reason,” one commenter claimed.
Not everyone was convinced he had a case. “No Lawyer is gonna pick this up,” one commenter wrote. Another viewer questioned whether something happened before the recording began. “Question is what did u do? Because they are not gonna act like that without you treating them with disrespect!” they wrote
