Ahead of the release of her highly anticipated film, Maria, the actress has been gracing red carpets more than usual. As a result, it hasn’t been hard to tell that she looks different, especially in the face.
According to sources, Jolie allegedly did minor work on her lips and other areas to look youthful during promotional events. “She’s such a beauty and looks great at 49 for the most part,” the insider explained. “But clearly, she’s had a ton of new work done in time for all the publicity for Maria.” Although Jolie previously said she doesn’t ever see herself going under the knife, the stress of her ongoing legal battle with Brad Pitt convinced her otherwise. “She was looking quite frail and gaunt a few months ago with circles under her eyes,” the source highlighted before adding:
“So she had a tune up – and not just lip injections, but likely Botox and other fillers.”
Unfortunately, her inner circle isn’t completely approving of the new look. They gave it “mixed reviews.” While they understand that the pressure of her “career-defining role” in Maria pushed her to consider cosmetic procedures, they have fears. The informant explained to Life&Style:
“The hope is that Angelina doesn’t succumb to the temptation of going overboard like so many of her Hollywood peers.”

While Jolie’s team might not be a fan of her touch-up, the internet feels otherwise. Photos of her during press tours have been met with mostly positive remarks. “Angelina Jolie looks amazing; I want whatever plastic surgery she got,” gushed one fan on X.
Another similar comment on Reddit read, “The only woman who has a natural plastic surgery face. I think most plastic surgeries are trying to emulate a feature Angelina has.” A third fan theorized, “I feel like she might have some cheek fillers and maybe a top-up of lip filler. Her face has a lot more softer features than before.” The public clearly seems to be leaning more in favor of Jolie’s new look. Hopefully, her luck doesn’t run out.
