If you’ve ever played a game of Cards Against Humanity, the stuff you end up saying to one another can get pretty offensive. Being a game about filling in the rest of a sentence with random adjectives and nouns tends to do that. It’s an intentional part of the game. Well, when a woman in California bought the political version, Trump Against Humanity, to play with her family, the game turned a tad criminal. One party-pooper got especially angry and took their rage out on the game itself.
TikToker Legallylizzied—Lizzie—shared a video of the card game she brought along to her family gathering. “MAGA Snowflakes during this holiday season.” Well, what’s left of it, anyway. Normally, Cards Against Humanity—any version of the game—doesn’t have what appears to be bullet holes through several of the cards. In fact, that’s exactly what it is.
While playing Trump Against Humanity, Lizzie says her conservative brother-in-law got incredibly angry. Now, this expansion centers around ridiculous President Trump antics, which makes sense. He’s a golden goose of comedy. To Lizzie’s brother-in-law, he felt the game was just bashing Trump, got “super triggered,” and put a few bullets in it.
According to Lizzie, this was after she and her sister ran errands over the holiday season. When they returned, they found the cards destroyed. Why? So they couldn’t be played against. You can tell Lizzie sounds incredibly irritated.
Lizzie says, “I want somebody to clarify who the snowflakes are for me.” The game itself, and Lizzie confirms this, doesn’t pull punches, no matter your political affiliation. Maybe a better question to ask is why he even bothered to play, anyway. Was he looking to get angry?
Naturally, people in the comments dunked on Lizzie’s brother-in-law, though many weren’t surprised, either—MAGA do this all the time. Others were quick to point out that her brother-in-law’s anger is actually dangerous.
“THOSE WORDS WERE BEING MEAN TO ME!!!” read one comment.
“Your sister is in danger, girl. He SHOT a game of cards, imagine what he’s doing to your sister behind closed doors,” one commenter said. Another echoed the same worry, arguing Lizzie should “File a police report.”
It’s unambiguously a valid concern. He seems totally cool with being locked-and-loaded, even during the holiday festivities. If a silly card game is enough to make you rage, maybe you should play solitaire.
