Folks in Ohio are going through it these days, but they always prove resilient no matter what happens. I guess this is the type of fortitude that builds when your local NFL team is the Cleveland Browns. In addition to protests around the country, folks on Reddit are planning a protest at one of Elon Musk’s Tesla facilities that are local to the region.
In a post by beautymoon09 on the Cleveland Reddit page, there was a message detailing a protest at Tesla Motors Cleveland, located in Lyndhurst. It’s slated to go down Saturday, February 15, right after Valentine’s Day. It’s simply titled the ‘Stop Elon Rally,’ and the Lyndhurst Democratic Club and some other local groups are hosting it.
As the title says, it’s pretty apparent why they are protesting. Since Trump took office, Mus,k and his cronies in the meme-turned-fascist agency, DOGE, have rapidly tried to exert control over the entire system that holds the country together in the name of efficiency. Except it’s plainly obvious to anybody with eyes that it’s a blatant power trip designed to position Musk and his fellow billionaires in a position to control vast amounts of industry and turn them private.
Some folks on Reddit are divided about the planned protest and have all weighed in with their opinions.
“I just ignore and block Trump and Elon supporters at this point. If we’ve come this far and you see absolutely nothing wrong with what’s happening, you’re a lost cause. I’m tired of wasting keystrokes for them to refuse to read, double down on their support or argue just to abandon the debate later. Protesting is how people bring awareness and force lawmakers to pay attention. It is a powerful tool.”
“This West Side dem will try to come support our East Side friends. More power to you!”
“Goal: piss off regular ass people that work at a local dealership. Accomplished. Elon will never know you exist.”
“I voted for Trump, and he made it clear he was bringing in Musk to help malicious Government spending. Wasting our tax money on bs is what yall should be protesting as well.”
It seems that the protests will continue as concerned citizens will fight to have their voices heard amidst the crazy times we live in at the moment.
