I have definitely had my fair share of terrible experiences with different companies as a customer. By the end of just about all of those experiences, I’ll typically leave a review based on what happened and try to be as fair as possible, depending on the circumstances. That’s what a Michigan man did after his experience with a company that sold him shipping crates.
However, after having left the Google review detailing his experience, he got a phone call from the owner of the company the very same day. It’s safe to say that he wasn’t too happy about the review, but I definitely didn’t expect him to act the way he did throughout the conversation.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @ilovemylabrador, which, if you couldn’t already tell by the handle, has really nothing to do with shipping containers or leaving bad reviews. In fact, the page typically follows the original poster’s life, with many of the videos featuring her dog.
In this particular video, however, it features her father while he is on the phone with the owner of a company who had sold him a shipping container over the summer. By November, the containers had allegedly rusted, and their seals were broken. After reaching out to the company that sold the containers to him, it was determined that all they could do was provide new seals, which reportedly wouldn’t be applicable because of the rust that had accumulated.
After various phone calls, the company had allegedly gone silent on the man, which prompted his Google review. However, after the review was posted, the owner decided to call him and give him a piece of his mind.

The original poster’s father had put the phone conversation on speaker, which details how he is also an army veteran who feels as though the disclaimer they have about specifically honoring veterans on their website was not being met. The conversation between the two quickly turned into an argument, which then led to the offer that if he removes the review, the shipping container company owner will refund him $300.
What’s really funny is how the man is reacting while essentially being yelled at by the company owner, with one commenter even saying, “the fact that you KNOW this guy is at his desk SO worked up while your dad is casually going about his day has me dying.”
Other people were more focused on the irony of this entire situation happening, with another person saying, “Google transcript this and throw it up as a review.” Another, top-liked comment shared the same sentiment, saying, “Hear me out. Take down the review. Get the $300. And then put up a new one about this experience lol.” I’d like to think that the company learns its lesson about how they treat customers if they ever come across this video on TikTok.
