The state of America is definitely volatile right now, following Trump’s election and Musk’s DOGE group running rampant through many of this country’s longstanding facilities. Some are taking a more laid-back approach, waiting and seeing if you will, but others are speaking loudly about the events and how wrong it all is. One Texas Democrat spoke her mind during a House Oversight Committee hearing, and what she had to say sparked drama.
In a post by RoyalChris in the r/Law Reddit page, a Texas Democrat named Jasmine Crockett on the Oversight Committee went on a rampage and in a fiery, explosive rant laid out what she thinks is going to happen if Trump keeps up all the stuff he is doing with Russia and Ukraine. This is what she had to say.
It is time for us to say, Mr. President, guess what? Russia invaded Ukraine. Can we — can we at least agree on that one? Facts matter. Y’all, this is literally potentially putting us into an international crisis. We may be heading towards the next World War because we have a president that wants to pal around with Putin and wants to do everything to make him feel good, including lying about who invaded who.
The message is clear, and she see’s how Trump is sucking up to Russia and Putin as an act that can only lead to potential catastrophe and chaos down the road. Many folks on Reddit had a lot to say about the passionate speech.
“It is so refreshing to see someone speak out loudly what we all are thinking. It is absolutely crazy to see what is unfolding in real time, and especially how Trump does whatever he wants seemingly with no consequences, yet.”
“For all the talk about DEI being a detriment to this country, I am mostly seeing minorities stand up for the constitution during the countries biggest crisis.”
“Another parallel to Hitler. His opposition was also worried about decorum while he and his brownshirts consolidated power through sheer shamelessness.”

Who knows what will come up in her speech, but at least she dared to say it. Will anybody listen or pick up her torch? This is the real question, and only time will tell us the answer.
